We proudly introduce this month’s School Spotlight; Escola Villare in the ABC Paulista region of Brazil. Our School Spotlight series showcases what makes our global community so special, highlighting the individual strengths of our exceptional learning environments and understanding the benefits of being part of our wider community.
We are a school located in São Caetano do Sul, within the ABC Paulista region, a city that has led Brazil’s Human Development Index (HDI) rankings for over a decade. For more than 30 years, we have been dedicated to educating global citizens. Our motto, ‘a choice for life,’ reflects our belief that school is where values are cultivated and the foundation for a successful and fulfilling life is built. At Villare, we offer education from Early Childhood (starting at 4 months) through High School (up to age 17), with each stage housed in a unit specifically designed for its age group.
On this journey, we cannot fail to highlight the importance of the entire school community, especially the Villare families. Together, we ensure the effectiveness and continuity of our educational project. We know students by their names because they grow-up with us from 4 months old. We are committed to educate engaged citizens, prepared to contribute significantly to society, through the sharing of knowledge and the development of critical, creative and socio-emotional skills. Our pedagogical project is expressed in the valorisation of childhood, in the appreciation for research and the intellectual act of learning, in the careful deepening of the world of philosophy, arts, sports and sciences and in the projection of students for young-adult life.
What sets Villare apart is our distinctive teaching methodology, the long-standing dedication of our educators, and our deep passion for teaching. We pride ourselves on fostering close relationships with our students from early childhood, which allows us to recognise and adapt to their individual learning styles. These qualities enable Villare to meet the challenge of being the best school at every educational level, consistently delivering outstanding academic results that rank among the top in Brazil.
Being part of the Cognita family enables us to leverage group synergies and share best practices across our network of schools in Brazil and beyond. One of the highlights of our year is the Global Be Well Day, celebrated on the last Friday of September with our teachers and students, and extended to families on Saturday in a public park. This event reflects our commitment to prioritizing student well-being and reinforces our belief that education is a collaborative effort between the school and families.
