On 7th March, our World Book Day-inspired “Cognita Calling” event, connected more than 40 Cognita schools in 8 different countries.

Using video calls to provide a window into classrooms as far apart as Asia, Europe and Latin America, students of all ages discussed books and authors, what they were doing to celebrate World Book Day and even competed against one another in book character quizzes. 338 students and staff additionally shared video messages about their favourite books on Flipgrid.

Tim Evans, Educational Technology Coordinator at Stamford American Hong Kong, who coordinated the event, said: The World Book Day ‘Cognita Calling’ has been a great example of what we can achieve coming together as a wider group, collaborating and sharing with each other all with the same intention – creating meaningful learning experiences for our students.”

We hope you enjoy this montage of photographic highlights from our  World Book Day-themed Cognita Calling.
