Cognita’s Learning Beyond Borders programme continues to inspire and empower educators, strengthening global connections and enhancing professional growth. This year, more than 25 teachers from Brazil, Chile, and Mexico have embarked on transformative experiences, immersing themselves in the cultures and educational environments of Cognita schools worldwide.

Launched in 2018 by Cognita Latin America, Learning Beyond Borders offers educators a unique opportunity to expand their leadership, embrace diverse perspectives, and bring fresh insights back to their home schools. Over 2–3 weeks, participating teachers gain hands-on experience in different learning environments, experiment with innovative methodologies, and build meaningful professional relationships across our global network. This initiative reinforces Cognita’s commitment to enhancing teaching and learning by providing educators with the tools and inspiration to refine their practice with a global perspective.

Since its inception, Learning Beyond Borders has enabled 150+ educators to visit Cognita schools across Spain, Dubai, Switzerland, India, Singapore, the UK, and beyond. The impact extends far beyond the programme itself—teachers return with new strategies, renewed confidence, and a deeper appreciation for the diversity within our global education community. By engaging with different cultures and educational philosophies, they develop a richer understanding of how to support diverse learners and strengthen their own teaching methodologies.

At Cognita, we recognise that the strength of our schools lies in the dedication and expertise of our educators. By investing in programmes like Learning Beyond Borders, we reaffirm our commitment to the continuous growth and professional development of our teachers, ensuring they have the opportunities and support needed to thrive in an ever-evolving educational landscape. Through this initiative, we not only strengthen our global community but also create lasting benefits for the students in our care, as they gain from the enriched perspectives and expertise of their educators.
