The Cognita European Digital Learning Conference 2025 brought together educators from across Europe at Charterhouse Square School, London, for a day of collaboration, knowledge-sharing, and innovation. The event focused on the significant role of digital learning in shaping a holistic, future-ready education.

One of the conference’s key themes was the importance of connecting educators regionally to share best practices. Through collaborative workshops and thought-provoking sessions, attendees exchanged valuable insights, enabling them to enhance their teaching and better support student success. This regional collaboration fosters a dynamic educator network that animates knowledge and strengthens the impact of digital learning across classrooms.

The day underscored the integration of digital tools as a vital component of a well-rounded education. “Our primary aim as a schools group is to empower our students to thrive in a rapidly evolving world, with digital literacy serving as a critical foundation for their success,” said Matthew Lovegrove, Digital Learning Advisor – Pod 1, UK.

Workshops like the one on the PICRAT model, led by Andy Perryer, Head of Digital Learning, demonstrated how educators can evaluate the impact of technology on teaching practices. Additionally, discussions around using 1:1 devices for enhanced learning provided actionable strategies for empowering students through personalised, tech-driven education.

Sarah Reynolds, Cognita’s Director of Education for Europe, also delivered an inspiring keynote on leadership, exploring Daniel Goleman’s Styles of Leadership and reinforcing the importance of collaboration in driving positive change in education.
