Our commitment to sustainability

At Cognita, our aim is to do our part to contribute to a more sustainable, diverse, inclusive and responsible future. We are committed to making a positive impact on our environment and supporting the communities in which we learn and work.

Our schools are passionate about making a positive difference in the world, and we are here to support and empower schools to continue with the great work they do.

We also strive to create ambitious goals and make year-on-year progress on the Environment, Social and Governance (ESG) topics that are most important to us and our stakeholders.

Sustainability strategy

Our sustainability strategy covers four priority areas: environment, students, people, and communities. These priority areas are underpinned by our foundational principle, Leading Responsibly. This strategy is inspired by our global purpose - to thrive in a rapidly evolving world.

Sustainable Learning Environments reflects our ambition to reduce our environmental impact in terms of our operations and infrastructure.

Nurturing Responsible Learners reflects our ambition to empower our students to thrive not only on their own, but in relation to others, with society, and on our planet.

Fair & Sustainable Workplaces reflects our ambition to provide fair work and create a workplace that focuses on culture, diversity, inclusion, wellbeing, and development.

Impacting Global Education reflects our ambition to benefit global education as a whole by using our unique set of skills to help communities all over the globe improve their quality of education.

Leading Responsibly is the foundational principle that underpins each of these priority areas. It reflects how as an organisation we are governed by the principle of leading and operating ethically and with integrity.

Reporting

Cognita is committed to reporting transparently on our sustainability initiatives. We cover our activities in relation to our sustainability strategy in an annual Sustainability Report.
