About

Oakfields Preparatory School is an independent day school for boys and girls aged 2½ to 11, set within the beautiful seven-acre grounds of Harwood Hall in Upminster. We combine tradition with dynamism, creating a pathway of extraordinary opportunities for our pupils.

At Oakfields, we prioritise small class sizes, providing personalised attention in a nurturing and stimulating environment. Our bespoke and enriched curriculum extends beyond academics, supporting the holistic development of each child by fostering confidence, curiosity, and a caring nature.

We offer a diverse range of extracurricular activities and enrichment programmes, providing every child with a well-rounded educational experience. More than a school, Oakfields is a family where community is at the heart of everything we do. Our ever-evolving approach to enrichment ensures pupils can explore their interests, build resilience, and make choices that align with their passions and abilities.

We nurture confident, curious, and collaborative individuals who thrive within a strong sense of community. By fostering a supportive, inclusive culture, we help children grow into empathetic, engaged learners ready to embrace the opportunities and challenges of the world around them.
