Introducing Cognita Codes
Last week, some 30 Cognita schools from eight countries came together to celebrate all things coding and computer science.
The brainchild of Andy Perryer, Cognita’s Digital Learning Adviser, Cognita Codes was a unique learning opportunity for students to experience a special lesson of coding to create, collaborate and critically think about solving a problem using computing skills.
“There are many skills required to code: problem solving, teamwork and creativity”, says Andy Perryer. “Cognita Codes is a chance for teachers to celebrate their students’ achievements globally. The fact that this was the inaugural Cognita Codes, and so many colleagues from so many schools took part, shows there is a real appetite to engage with this area of learning. I’m looking forward to seeing how we can make Cognita Codes even more engaging and collaborative in 2020.”
