To celebrate World Book Day, Cognita shared a story around the world.

Organised by Fiona Ritson, Head of English at Colchester High School in the UK, our ‘Share a Story Around the World’ project saw 17 Cognita schools in six different countries collaborate to create a unique storybook, ‘Sameera and Javier’s Cog-tastic Adventure’.

A group of Fiona’s students wrote the opening of the story and then sent the work-in-progress around different Cognita schools for groups of students to add to. The narrative developed one school at a time, with students also providing the illustrations and even the blurb on the back of the book.
